About the Accommodation


Located in Succoth, a picturesque village , Gleann Fia house is a large four bedroom property completely surrounded by a beech hedge for privacy.  The private driveway can hold up to 6 cars.   It makes an ideal location with hiking, mountain biking, fishing, boating and even a sea plane on your door step. 

Four spacious rooms on the ground floor allow for the perfect place to rest after exploring Arrochar offering a King size with en suite and shower, two doubles and a twin room.

The large kitchen and dining room offers breath taking views of Arrochar and the mountains and hills surrounding it with all the facilities you need to cook for the family while enjoying the views from the south facing garden with furniture, BBQ, and outdoor shelter and hot tub!

If you prefer to dine out then why not enjoy a drink or home made food in The Bothy, the local pub or dine out at the local Bistro Cu Mara and enjoy traditional homemade Pizza, Kraft Burgers and Curry nights.

Once finished you can have a cosy night in front of the log fire and enjoy Netflix or Sky TV on the 75" TV in the living room or relax in the family and games room upstairs which offers a pool table, Karaoke, home cinema, bar, study area, and plenty of board games for adults and children. 

If you have little ones then a cot and high chair can be provided upon request. 

All towels and bedding will be provided and the house is equipped with all you need for your stay.

Check in is self check in meaning there is no rush to get here and is from 1500 with check out at 1000.


Pets are welcome but will incur an additional charge per pet.

Traditional friendly Scottish pub. The bar area has a pool table and two televisions showing sport during the day. Food is also served in the bar. The Lounge area has stunning Views of Loch Long and the Arrochar Alps, serving great home style pub grub. The chef makes some fantastic curries, and the steak pie is always great !

Cù Mara, Arrochar


A new takeaway and bistro in Arrochar serving fantastic burgers and pizza ! Pizzas are prepared fresh daily on the premises, from the dough to the sauce and toppings, then stone baked to order. Indoor dining in their new bistro is expected to be available from June 2021. Cake and coffee is also available during the day.

Slanj, Tarbet


Bar and restaurant set in a 12th century converted church, this restaurant is truly a unique historical setting. Here you'll find a good Scottish warm welcome, a delicious regional menu including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options, great local ales and the finest malt whisky's for you to savour. Slanj offer live music at weekends, a courtesy minibus to collect you from Ben Bheula and a takeaway menu. They are also dog friendly !

The Village Inn, Arrochar


Pub and restaurant with traditional Highland decor and open fires. There is a fabulous beer garden, and there is sure to be something for everyone on the menu. From a generous Sunday roast with the family (they offer free top ups on roasties, yorkies and gravy!) to a hearty burger and a beer with friends. They also run a free pub quiz every Sunday with prizes up for grabs !

Transport

By Car

Directions From Glasgow

Glasgow Airport & The South Follow the A82 North along the scenic side of Loch Lomond. When you get to Tarbet, turn left on to the A83 and carry on through the village of Arrochar. Just as you come around the head of the Loch, there will be a right turn signposted Succoth, take this turn and stay on this road following it through the slow speed restrictions and around the bend and you will see us on the right, we are clearly signposted. 

Finding Us From Oban & The West

Follow the A816 South until you reach Lochgilphead. From here, take the A83 towards Glasgow passing through Inveraray along Loch Fyne, and descending the glen past the Rest and Be Thankful. After passing Ardgarten, you will soon see a left turn signposted Succoth as you approach the head of the Loch. take this turn and stay on this road following it through the slow speed restrictions and around the bend and you will see us on the right, we are clearly signposted.

From Fort William & The North

Follow the A82 South through the dramatic Glen Coe and down the side of Loch Lomond. When you reach Tarbet, turn right on to the A83 towards Oban and carry on through the village of Arrochar. By Public Transport

The Village of Arrochar is well connected by public transport and we are not far from the train station or bus stop. 1.8m/2.9km to Arrochar & Tarbet train station. (5min drive) 0.7m/1.13km to Braeside Stores bus stop. (15min walk) There are 6 train services per day that run from Glasgow Queen Street, with additional services passing through from Oban, Fort William and Campbeltown.
